Snodly is back. Unedited

A "Tough Love " Letter to the Republican Party

All I seem to hear from Party insiders and powers-that-be is that 'we have to be more inclusive','move to the center','make more room at the table for new viewpoints'...and all i seem to see are 'bipartisan agreements' with the most liberal of democrats, such as the "gang of fourteen" debacle.

RNC - do you think we've forgotten?
Or is it that YOu have forgotten that the most sweeping landslide victory in U.S. history - an incredible 94% - went to a man whose simple political mantra was "We win, they lose"?

But "the era of Reagan is over", you say. Then how do you explain the schisms? True conservatives no longer call themselves "Republicans" - they are now, instead, Independents, Libertarians, Tea Party, Constitutionalists, or just good old Conservatives. These, for the most part, were once proud Republicans.
So my question to you is: Who left whom?
Did you REALLY swallow the bilgewater the democrats gave us when Pelosi & Co. swept into power in '06, that the American people 'sent a mandate to end the Iraq war'?

Negatory, good buddies. It was a message sent to Frist & Ilk, Ltd., that Republicans weren't listening to the people !

But did you learn your lesson?

In 2008, I heard the ridiculous argument that Republicans couldn't vote for Romney because he was too much of a RINO. So, instead, you nominate...John McCain?? ARE YOU KIDDING ME ??!!

This same non-logic was applied to make it seem as if a state governor, with hands-on experience running a government, somehow has LESS experience than a man whose total 'experience' was being in the Senate for 133 days, failed to show up most of the time, and then only voted 'present' when he WAS there.

And you wonder how we lost?

The vast majority of Americans (I refer again to the 94%) WANT to vote for a true Conservative, preferably from a truly conservative party. But the RNC is no longer that party.

But all is not lost, RNC. Simply put, if the Republican Party will return to the American people, the american people will return to the Republican Party.

I won't humor you. It will take time, and a mighty effort, to restore our faith. For so very long now, Republicans have been playing the guy in the whitehat to the Democrats' Dick Dastardly. these are people who believe that it's perfectly all right to stick a fork in a newborn baby's head, and you WANT THESE PEOPLE TO LIKE YOU?? WHERE ARE YOUR PRINCIPLES?

No, RNC, it is not that you must move to the center. When you do that, you lose, and lose absolutely. It is when you move back to the right - where you belong - that you win - need I again mention 94% ?

That's when we ALL win.
Come home, RNC.
Come back to America.

I must admit that I was blinded a bit by his military background. But the man has courage - The last man in national prominence who had demonstrated courage was JFK. Now in hindsight - my vote was NOT wasted.

I am the WORST typist !!
Yes, courage he has, but you may have heard the old adage "The road to hell is paved with good intentions"?

I'm quite sure there are Socialists who have wonderful intentions...the thing is, the ideals don't work in practice. And..."all it takes for evil to take root is for good men to do nothing".

No, I don't believe your vote was wasted...I, too, voted for McCain, but only becuase I was voting AGAINST Obama, and a voice crying in the wilderness against an evil is NOT a waste.

But I'm still a lousy typist.

Nothing is more dangerous than a coward. There are two types - Physical and Ethical. I fear we have the latter in office
